Application Modernization Business Analyst

We are currently seeking a Application Modernization Business Analyst to join our team in Bridgewater, New Jersey (US-NJ), United States (US).

Job Description: Responsibilities :

• Conduct regular interviews, surveys, and workshops with IT team across various business units to gather requirements and assess the current IT application landscape
• Maintain a comprehensive inventory of existing IT applications, including their functionality, business owners, and dependencies
• Analyze and assess the current IT application landscape to identify redundancies, gaps, and opportunities for consolidation or elimination
• Collaborate with IT teams to identify the current compliance level, business needs and risks of IT applications and prioritize efforts to rationalize applications
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for IT application rationalization across all business units
• Provide guidance and support to individual business units in developing and executing their own IT application rationalization plans, ensuring alignment with overall corporate IT strategy, architecture and goals
• Monitor and report on the progress of IT application rationalization efforts, and escalate issues or risks as needed
• Collaborate with project teams across business units to ensure that application rationalization efforts are integrated with ongoing projects and initiatives

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Systems
• At least 3 years' experience in Business Analyst or similar role
• Experience in IT application rationalization or portfolio management is preferrable
• Experience in analyzing large and complex datasets
• Experience in working in a matrixed organization
• Knowledge of IT industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to IT application rationalization would be an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while dealing with high levels of ambiguity
• Strong interpersonal and communication skill, able to communicate concisely and timely with different group of people
