We are currently seeking a Systems Architect - McKinney, TX to join our team in McKinney, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
This NTT Systems Architect is dedicated to supporting a global insurance provider. The position will have a deep understanding of the client's Data Center network and server architecture and associated areas of delivery. The role will require Smart Hands support providing technical assistance and expertise for tasks beyond basic remote hands, encompassing complex hardware installations, troubleshooting, network maintenance, and ensuring compliance. The position will need to have the ability to handle diverse projects and implement within budget and associated deliverables, which contribute to NTT's company success.

Additional Role Responsibilities:
Hardware Installation and Configuration:
- Installing and configuring servers, networking equipment, and other hardware
- Cable management and ensuring proper connections
- Performing moves, adds, changes, and decommissions (MACS) of hardware
Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:
- Diagnosing and resolving network, hardware, and software issues
- Identifying root causes of problems and implementing solutions
- Working with vendors to replace defective equipment
Network Maintenance and Management:
- Setting up and configuring network devices (routers, switches)
- Monitoring network performance and identifying potential issues
- Ensuring network security and compliance
Software Installation and Updates:
- Installing and updating operating systems and software applications
- Patching and securing systems against vulnerabilities
Hardware Maintenance and Replacement:
- Performing routine hardware maintenance and upgrades
- Replacing faulty hardware components
Compliance and Security:
- Ensuring data center operations comply with industry regulations and standards
- Implementing security measures to protect data and infrastructure
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintaining accurate records of tasks performed and changes made
- Reporting on the status of data center operations and any issues encountered
Automation of Maintenance Tasks:
- Automating routine maintenance tasks to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
Collaboration and Communication:
- Working with clients and other IT staff to ensure smooth operations
- Communicating technical information clearly and concisely
- Deliver executive level information regarding the infrastructure delivery status
Basic Required Qualifications:
- 8 Years installing and configuring servers, networking equipment, and other hardware in a Datacenter environment
- Must have client-facing experience
The advanced skills required for the role include but not limited to the below areas.
Technical Operations:
- Advanced knowledge of network performance, network administration and troubleshooting techniques
- Advanced knowledge of network related hardware and software (including routers, switches, TCP/IP, Ethernet, VPNs, Firewalls, etc.)
- Advanced understanding of security issues and implications to network solutions. Demonstrated ability to recommend network upgrades and improvements to achieve NTT's goals and objectives
- Oversee hardware installations, decommissioning, rack and stack, cable management and troubleshooting of network and server infrastructure
- Coordinate system upgrades, firmware updates and physical equipment relocations
- Manage asset tracking, inventory control and documentation of all data center activities
- Act as the primary point of contact for Smart Hands services, ensuring timely and effective customer support
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and enhance service quality
- Ensure compliance with SLAs and provide regular reporting on performance metrics
- Develop and refine operational workflows to enhance service delivery
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations, security protocols, and company policies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime
