NU Advisory Partners is leading the search for a Senior Vice President of Human Resources on behalf of a high-growth B2B software company. This executive will be responsible for designing and executing a people strategy that fosters an exceptional workplace culture while enabling business growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a deep understanding of talent management, organizational development, and scaling people operations in dynamic environments.

This leader will play a critical role in shaping the company's workforce strategy, developing scalable people processes, and building an exceptional employee experience. They will partner closely with the executive team to ensure that HR initiatives align with business priorities while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities

People Strategy & Organizational Leadership

  • Define and implement an innovative HR strategy that aligns with business growth and scales with the organization.
  • Lead key initiatives across talent acquisition, performance management, total rewards, and employer branding.
  • Partner with leadership to anticipate workforce needs and build systems that attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Oversee the creation of a high-performing People function that integrates best-in-class HR practices with business priorities.

Employee Experience & Workplace Culture

  • Develop programs that enhance employee engagement, career development, and long-term retention.
  • Act as a culture champion, ensuring core company values are reinforced across a growing and dynamic workforce.
  • Lead efforts to optimize the employee experience across both in-office and remote teams.
  • Design and implement professional development initiatives that prepare employees for leadership roles.
  • Process Optimization & Operational Excellence

  • Refine HR operations and streamline processes to support scalability and workforce efficiency.
  • Utilize data and analytics to track employee trends, measure engagement, and enhance decision-making.
  • Develop and implement a structured performance management system that fosters accountability and professional growth.
  • Establish HR systems and policies that balance structure with flexibility, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) & Compliance

  • Lead efforts to build an inclusive and equitable workplace that reflects diverse perspectives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and industry best practices.
  • Develop strategies that strengthen workforce diversity while embedding inclusive hiring practices into company culture.
  • Collaborate with leadership on long-term workforce planning, ensuring talent strategies evolve with business growth.
  • Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead a high-impact HR team that fosters innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on workforce strategy, organizational design, and talent planning.
  • Mentor and develop People leaders, ensuring HR functions as a proactive and strategic partner to the business.
  • Champion a mindset of adaptability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
  • Qualifications

  • Proven Leadership : Experience leading and scaling people teams, cultivating a culture of collaboration, performance, and accountability.
  • Strategic Talent Management : Expertise in workforce planning, recruitment, and talent development, with a track record of building high-impact teams.
  • Operational Expertise : Strong background in streamlining HR processes, implementing scalable systems, and enhancing people operations.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making : Proficiency in workforce analytics, HR technology, and engagement metrics to drive strategic decisions.
  • Culture & Engagement : Experience designing programs that strengthen employee satisfaction, retention, and workplace culture.
  • Diversity & Inclusion : A demonstrated commitment to building equitable and inclusive talent strategies.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge : Deep understanding of employment laws, policies, and HR best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Location Requirement : This is an in-office role based in San Francisco.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field (MBA or advanced HR certification preferred).
