Job Overview: Well established Ingredient Company seeking self-motivated, team player who enjoys a fast-paced environment. Candidate responsibilities include but are not limited to handling incoming and outgoing deliveries and maintaining a clean, well-organized work area.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for identifying information and counts, weights, or measurements of items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Assists in shipping products including, determining method of shipment, including posting weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
- Assists in maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies within the shipping area.
- Assists in preparing bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping paperwork.
- Examines shipment contents and compares against production reports and bills of lading.
- Assists in preparing documents to accompany shipments such as packing lists.
- Assists in loading products on to commercial vehicles as necessary.
- Performs all work in a safety-first mentality
- Follows OSHA, FDA, GMP, HACCP guidelines
- Maintains clean and organized workspace
Requirements:
- Intermediate computer skills and English written communication skills necessary
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a warehouse/shipping/logistics environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Math skills with a knowledge of unit of measure and basic conversion
- Strong ability to multitask, manage competing priorities and know when to escalate issues
- Ability to work standing for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 60 pounds
