About the Role:
The HR Generalist provides essential HR services to Corporate based business groups at Nu Skin. The position is a member of the HR Operations team and reports to a Human Resources Business Partner. The HR Generalist will support key HR functions across Technology, Finance, Legal, and other Nu Skin entities. This role is perfect for someone early in their HR journey who is eager to learn, grow and make an impact. You’ll have the opportunity to own the employee recognition program and deliver HR needs to assigned client groups. This role also collaborates on HR projects with other HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) such as HRIS & Compliance, Leadership & Organizational Development, and Compensation and Benefits. Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll do:
· Assist in supporting leaders with everyday HR questions and challenges, escalating complex issues as needed. Help resolve employee concerns by gathering information, seeking multiple perspectives, and ensuring positive outcomes.
· Own and manage the employee recognition program, ensuring meaningful and impactful recognition efforts that align with company culture.
· Skillfully inquire for facts during investigations; accurately anticipate implications of events or decisions and plan accordingly during investigations. Identify root causes of disputes and make recommendations for prevention and improvement of outcomes as well as reduction of risk for the company. Act as a liaison between department managers and legal representatives during investigations, legal action, hearings, etc. Utilize and leverage knowledge of employment law to resolve disputes and minimize legal exposure.
· Process HR transactions in the HRMS, maintain accurate records, and identify ways to improve efficiency. Support managers in executing employee-related actions in the system.
· Train employees and leaders at all levels of the organization on varying HR topics from basic policy and procedure to in-depth legal matters. Support employee communications for on-going training topics (NEO, Manager Training, etc.) Identifies training needs for individual teams or the organization and makes recommendations for implementation. Participate as needed in training key stakeholders on action items.
· Work on cross-division projects or employee events as HR resource. Lead team projects or employee events that have organizational reach. May lead or co-lead projects or employee events with team members or lead projects with supervision.
· Gather and analyze HR data for reporting, audit or compliance needs.
What you'll need:
· 0–2 years of experience in HR, administration, or a related field (internships and school projects count!).
· Bachelor’s degree in business, labor relations, human resource, organizational behavior, or related field (or relevant internship/work experience).
· Knowledge of Human Resources processes and skills across the lifecycle of an employee from hiring, onboarding, employee engagement, training, career development,
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent Problem-solving skills and can analyze data and identify opportunities to makes recommendations for improvements
· Complete honesty and integrity including confidentiality and privacy of sensitive employee and company information
· Organization skills and the ability to transition quickly between various work activities
· Professionalism and a role model in living the Nu Skin Values
· Investigation and documentation skills
· Good judgment, empathy, and resilience when dealing with difficult employee relations matters
· Establish credibility and trust with employees and business leaders. Provide back-up support to HR Business Partners on a range of HR processes and topics.
