Job Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative duties related to the operations of the human resource office including but not limited to: insurance, benefits, 401K/profit sharing plan, billing, onboarding/offboarding and recruitment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist in the review, tracking, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and certifications.
· Assist in the full cycle recruitment process to include; partnering with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for open positions.
· Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications as well as DOT document confirmations.
· Facilitate in the Implementation of new hire orientation, onboarding/offboarding and employee recognition/retention programs.
· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
· Understand the electronic process of employee files and documents, and other items.
· May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to operate general office equipment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Ability to maintain confidential information.
· Willingness to take initiative, develop, punctual and have strong work ethic
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Basic understanding of Human Resources Laws in Missouri and Illinois
· Minimum of two years experience in the Human Resources department
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
