Description
Skilled Press Brake Operator to set up and operate both automated and manual press brakes according to work instructions, achieving specified quality standards and production rates.
Interpret prints and work orders to determine the best fabrication methods and production requirements.
Verify materials, select tooling, and adjust equipment as needed.
Create or modify CNC press brake programs at the machine or offline.
Set up and operate press brakes or other bending equipment to produce parts per specifications.
Inspect parts for quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
Monitor equipment performance to meet quality and production targets.
Maintain accurate production records, including counts, labels, and data entry.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing-related education or work experience in a metal fabrication facility
Ability to read a print, perform shop mathematics calculations, and use a micrometer / caliper
Preferred Qualifications :
Model Maker apprenticeship completed
Bilingual (English / Spanish)
Basic computer literacy with the ability to perform tasks within the company's ERP system (Epicor, a plus)
Physical Requirements :
Exert 50 pounds of force occasionally and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to communicate with others; accommodation as required to listen to equipment and monitor paging system.
Accommodation as required for reading documents, prints, computer screens, and quality instruments.
Working Conditions :
Typical metal manufacturing environment with exposure to powder coat paint facility. Active work that primarily involves walking, standing, bending and lifting.
