Maintenance Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems, facilities maintenance, and the ability to read schematics. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on various equipment and systems within the facility.
• Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and repairs.
• Assist in the fabrication of components as needed for repairs or improvements.
• Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic standards.
• Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement in facilities maintenance.
• Ability to work independently
• Assist with Building and grounds maintenance as well as snow removal.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks effectively.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and ability to read schematics.
• Leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure.
• Experience with residential painting is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
