What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner Full-Time Ambulatory Infusion Center position at NuCara Pharmacy?
NuCara Infusion Services is a growing business seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) for the Ambulatory Infusion Center located in Austin, TX.
Specific duties include:
•Supervising infusions and RNs completing infusions
•Chart review prior to patient scheduling
•Conducts initial, new patient outreach calls to educate and schedule
•Shares clinical engagements with referring provider
•Engages with pharma reps for continuing education
•Provide patient education on intravenous and injectable therapies
•Attends regular meetings with supervising MD per state board and third-party requirements
•Partakes in all levels of patient care including: (1) Providing central line maintenance; (2) Peripheral line insertion; (3) PICC line maintenance and removal; (4) Administering therapy; and (5) Pre-infusion assessments
•Use of prescriptive authority to order emergency or prn medications
Job Requirements:
Must be registered with Medicare and have active PTAN identifier
Keep credentialling up to date (ie CAQH) ensure payer contract validity

Requirements for this position include experience with administering infusion therapies, experience with case management and two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an infusion or office setting.
