Job description
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and organized Assistant Director of Assisted Living to join our leadership team. This individual will assist the Director of Assisted Living in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment for residents. The Assistant Director will play a key role in managing staff, maintaining high-quality care standards, and supporting the delivery of services to meet the diverse needs of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Daily Operations: Support the Director in managing daily operations of the Assisted Living facility, ensuring adherence to regulations, policies, and high standards of care.
- Assist with Staff Supervision & Training: Lead, train, and evaluate a team of caregivers, nursing staff, and support personnel. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
- Resident Care: Ensure residents receive the highest level of care tailored to their needs. Address any concerns or issues related to resident care and satisfaction.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Family and Community Relations: Maintain effective communication with residents’ families and advocate for their needs. Represent the facility in the community and at events, fostering relationships that contribute to the well-being of residents.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an Assisted Living or Senior Care facility, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing Assisted Living communities.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using computer software for scheduling, care documentation, and financial reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Pay based on Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
