What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assitant Director - Assisted Living position at NuCare Senior Living?
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and organized Assistant Director of Assisted Living to join our leadership team. This individual will assist the Director of Assisted Living in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment for residents. The Assistant Director will play a key role in managing staff, maintaining high-quality care standards, and supporting the delivery of services to meet the diverse needs of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Daily Operations: Support the Director in managing daily operations of the Assisted Living facility, ensuring adherence to regulations, policies, and high standards of care.
- Staff Supervision & Training: Lead, train, and evaluate a team of caregivers, nursing staff, and support personnel. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
- Resident Care: Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans. Ensure residents receive the highest level of care tailored to their needs. Address any concerns or issues related to resident care and satisfaction.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Oversee infection control, safety procedures, and emergency protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in the implementation of continuous quality improvement programs, audits, and reviews to ensure high standards of care and service. Work with the Director to address areas for improvement.
- Family and Community Relations: Maintain effective communication with residents’ families and advocate for their needs. Represent the facility in the community and at events, fostering relationships that contribute to the well-being of residents.
- Financial Management: Assist with the budgetary planning and financial oversight for the Assisted Living department. Monitor staffing levels, operational costs, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
- Crisis Management: Respond to emergencies and critical situations, working with staff to resolve issues swiftly and appropriately.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an Assisted Living or Senior Care facility, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing Assisted Living communities.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using computer software for scheduling, care documentation, and financial reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Pay based on Experience

Pay: $46,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
