Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to the healthcare team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with medication administration under the direction of healthcare professionals.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and meal preparation.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including transferring from bed to wheelchair.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Provide specialized care for clients with conditions such as dementia or those requiring catheter care.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with home community care practices is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures related to vital signs and medication administration is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals requiring dementia care or catheter management is a plus.
