NRS is responsible for decommissioning first generation nuclear power stations and research sites. As a division of NRS, NRS Dounreay is responsible for the clean-up and demolition of the former centre of fast reactor research and development.

About the role

NRS Commercial are critical to the delivery of our mission through our relationship with the supply chain. Fundamental to the team’s success are efficient, compliant and easy to follow processes leading practitioners through the contract life cycle from idea to contract close down, including associated processes such as Supplier Relationship Management.
You'll work with representatives from across NRS and the wider Nuclear Decommissioning Authority to create robust yet simple processes that support our mission, value for money decommissioning and restoration of nuclear sites.
This role is a hybrid role required to work onsite two days per week at any NRS site across England, Scotland & Wales.
Key Deliverables
- The development, effective deployment and integration of commercial and related processes, including templates and guidance, across the Commercial function and beyond.
- The delivery of continuous improvement to the commercial processes and their deployment, looking for opportunities to streamline activities, increase quality, and reduce cost.
- The timely updating of commercial processes in line with relevant regulations and guidance.
- Team training through presentations and / or mentoring on changes in processes / policies.
- Act as a company subject matter expert for all commercial procedural matters, including providing compelling and authoritative advice on a range of complex, high risk / value activities.
- Represent the Head of Commercial Standards as and when required.

Qualifications and Experience
Please note the successful candidate will need to be located within a commutable distance of one of our NRS sites, or Dounreay, and will be expected to work there a minimum of 2 days per week.
