Accounts Payable Accountant

About the Role:
As an Accounts Payable - Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing the accounts payable process with accuracy and efficiency. You’ll ensure vendor invoices are processed timely and correctly, collaborate with purchasing and receiving teams to resolve issues, and assist with key accounting functions—including month-end closing and fixed asset tracking.
Basic Job Functions:
- Manage accounts payable. Oversee and maintain the division's accounts payable process.
- Process vendor invoices. Match invoices to purchase orders and bills of landing (BOLs) to ensure accuracy.
- Resolve AP issues. Work closely with purchasing and receiving teams to address discrepancies.
- Prepare journal entries. Assist with month-end and year-end closing by preparing journal entries.
- Track fixed assets. Manage and oversee the division's fixed asset tracking.
- Process fixed asset transactions. Handle monthly additions, disposals, and depreciation in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Support accounting projects. Assist with various accounting tasks and special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent coursework
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accounts payable, fixed assets, or related accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
