Basic Job Functions:
Responsibilities for a Components Technician include but are not limited to:
- Receive/generate Component orders and ensure order accuracy in a timely fashion to builders/customers.
- Build and maintain effective and profitable relationships with builders/customers.
- Coordination of component orders with internal team/external customers to ensure on time performance.
- Create sales and pricing strategies compatible with our goal of increased volume and profitability within the components department and be responsible for the successful implementation of such strategies.
- Coordinate component buyout items through Purchasing and outside vendors as required.
- Execute a scope of work “take-off” and clearly communicate a well-defined contract document. On some occasions this may require detailing specific parts and pieces from reviewing various sources of information (drawings, spec sheets, pictures, etc.).
- Utilize Nucor standard parts and details to effectively provide solutions to our customers.
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Experience working directly with Microsoft Programs (Word, Outlook and Excel)
