Basic Job Functions:
The EMT will work as the Shift Safety Coordinator to ensure the safety and security of Nucor Steel Gallatin and its teammates. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: inspecting and maintaining safety equipment; responding to fire and radiation alarms; assisting in safety training; conducting teammate health monitoring (hearing, drug testing); responding to incidents and emergencies on-site and providing treatment while maintaining confidentiality; stocking and cleaning trauma islands; and testing and checking fire equipment. This position will also serve as a member of the Emergency Medical Team and High Angle/Confined Space Rescue Team. This position works a 12-hour rotating shift, scheduled/unscheduled overtime including nights, holidays and weekends, in an industrial environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EMT-B Kentucky Certification
- At least two years of experience serving in an Emergency Medical Technician position
- Security related experience
- Fire safety experience
