Compensation: $81,000 - $94,000 (based on experience)

Basic Job Functions:

Evaluate current product designs and identify areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with design engineers to develop innovative solutions that improve product performance and manufacturability.
• Analyze and refine production processes to reduce costs, minimize waste, and enhance efficiency.
• Work closely with production teams to implement process improvements and ensure consistent quality.
• Provide guidance to design engineers on manufacturability during the product design phase.
• Ensure that products are designed with ease of manufacturing and assembly in mind.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to address manufacturing challenges.
• Assist in developing training materials and provide support to production teams regarding new product designs and improvements.
• Lead the prototyping process for new product designs.
• Test prototypes to validate design changes and ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving product quality and production efficiency.
• Utilize data analysis to identify and prioritize areas for improvement.
• Create and maintain documentation related to product changes, manufacturing processes, and production improvements.
• Ensure that all design changes are accurately reflected in product specifications and manuals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 – 7 years of experience in manufacturing or product design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other design tools.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and manufacturing best practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous product design experience in the data center sector.
