Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. The NYS Demand Planner will work with our commercial teams to understand overall customer demands and implement an integrated forecast model to create a singular demand plan for all of NYS. They will work with key stakeholders within the supply chain to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability. The Demand Planner will also be responsible for, but not limited to, creating demand forecasts and master production schedules; maintaining effective levels of finished goods inventory; developing and maintaining KPI’s related to forecast efficiencies and customer fulfillment; building relationships with all key supply chain stakeholders; working with large unstructured data sets and providing analytical feedback to teams to make well informed decisions; and support ad-hoc reporting and commercial and supply chain analytical requests. This position may be required to work holidays and weekends as required.
Minimum Requirements:
2 or more years demand planning and scheduling or related field
3 or more years extensive experience using excel, sequel viewpoint

ASCM or related membership or certification
ERP/MES experience
Business reporting tools, i.e. SQL, PowerBI, etc.
Previous metals industry experience
