Job Responsibilities
As a Rebar Fabricator – Swing Shifts, your responsibilities will include:
- Bending, cutting, bundling, and loading reinforcing steel bars according to customer orders
- Unloading trailers and storing material in storage bins
- Operating a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths
- Operating an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select material to be fabricated or shipped
- Operating a Fabmatic machine that cuts and bends reinforcing steel bars to specified shapes
- Assembling and loading orders onto trailers for shipping
- Operating a power saw for cutting reinforcing steel bars to specified lengths
- Applying epoxy touch up or reinforcing steel bars using a spray gun
- Maintaining the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must:
- Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
- Hold a high school diploma, GED, or local/state equivalent
- Be able to work overtime when required
- Be able to work any shift
