Basic Job Functions :
Kirby is seeking applicants for the position of Quality Assurance / NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Inspector. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System and provide support to our facility teams. This multi-function position will include but is not limited to the safe performance of the responsibilities listed below :
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Perform Quality Assurance auditing of all facility workstations.
- Incorporate Safety and Environmental observations and conversations into daily responsibilities.
- Perform NDT inspections of various structural members.
- Provide feedback in support of continual improvement of all functioning areas.
- Provide support for the facility in the form of reports, qualifications, and technical guidance.
- Participate in Quality / NDT functions offsite or at other Nucor divisions.
