Compensation and Benefits
- We offer an annual income averaging $47,000, which includes base pay, production bonuses, and overtime earnings.
Job Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for safety, initiating and upholding policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- General labor duties include sweeping, shoveling, and clean-up of warehouse and/or operating a forklift throughout the yard and warehouse.
- You will assist with weighing, sorting, and moving material, including physical handling of materials and supplies.
- You will inspect incoming scrap and/or cars, advising customers of accepted and non-accepted scrap and taking deductions as needed.
- You will cross-train in other positions and assist other employees as needed.
Requirements
- You must have at least 1 year of previous general labor experience in heavy manufacturing environments and warehouses, preferably in the scrap metal or construction industries.
- You must be able to work standing or walking for up to 12 hours per day.
- You must be able to adapt to frequent changes of priority and complete job tasks safely and effectively without constant supervision.
- You must meet attendance schedules with dependability and consistency.
