Basic Job Functions:
- Job-site analysis, trouble shooting, and contractor support for NIPG products including quality assurance, product claims and building diagnostics.
- Manages the customer contact and develops relationships with customers to provide information or instruction on detailing and installation practices for NIPG products.
- Deliver installation training for installers/contractors.
- Conduct thorough warranty inspections and develop detailed and effective field reports.
- Ability to speak to code compliance and has the ability to see cause and effect of installation process and the effects on the IMP product.
- Understanding of detailing and installation processes required to make a successful connection of the IMP to the building envelope.
- Communicates and reports observations and maintain records.
- Working with peers and supporting management in a way that leads to a culture of best outcome for NIPG
- Support the goals of Nucor.
- Demonstrate courteous and professional business etiquette.
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs to heights of 100ft or more.
- Ability to work at heights for long hours and comfortable walking on roofs.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness and means to travel 60% of the time.
- Previous hands-on field experience with IMP installation (2yr. min.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical associate or bachelor’s Degree related to building science and envelope construction.- Experience in construction related project management.
- Proficient in the use of basic photographic equipment and diagnostic tools.
- 5 years’ experience in the IMP construction industry
- Has a basic understanding of building science and envelope construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint and installation drawings.
