Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Arkansas is seeking a leader for the position of Controller. This Department Manager level position reports directly to the General Manager. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leadership role in promoting safety as a value, environmental stewardship and profitability
- Leadership role in managing all of the division’s accounting and financial reporting, as well as being a key contributor in developing and executing the strategic direction of the division and product group
- Leadership role in managing the human resources, information systems, and purchasing-related activities and personnel
- Leadership role for protecting Nucor’s assets through risk-management activities and maintaining an appropriate internal control structure
- Provide general financial experience and leadership to critically analyze business situations and formulate appropriate strategies
- Be a key business partner to the commercial, operations and maintenance teams and help facilitate continuous improvement across the facility

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
A minimum of 5 years work experience in financial-related positions
Prior leadership and supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or MBA
Financial Planning & Analysis experience
Proficiency in human resources, information systems, or purchasing
Willing to relocate within Nucor as future opportunities arise
