Basic Job Functions:
The role of Prepaint Analyst includes but is not limited to:
- Work closely with the Prepaint Product Manager and division Prepaint Coordinators to respond to customer price requests.
- Develop paint quotes for all Nucor paint lines.
- Understand pricing requirements for each market and region. Use this information for targeted pricing approach.
- Provide profit analysis.
- Maintain and improve paint quote system and quote database.
- Manage paint library and technical data sheets for all Nucor paint lines.
- Gain a deep understanding of paint line costs for each Nucor paint line.
This position will be responsible for the paint lines for both Nucor Steel Indiana and Nucor Steel Arkansas. The position will work out of either Crawfordsville or Blytheville.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of accounting or sales/marketing experience.
- Ability to travel. Regular trips to each Nucor paint line.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of steel flat rolled products and markets.
- Four year bachelor degree in accounting, business, marketing, metallurgy or other engineering field related to the steel business.
- Five years of experience in the metals industry.
