Basic Job Functions :
Vulcraft of New York is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Shop Order Detailer. A Shop Order Detailer is expected to :
Collaborate with engineers & detailers to effectively communicate production requirements
Utilize product specifications to prepare detailed drawings used in the manufacture of joists and deck
Identify and execute on opportunities to optimize material and time
Create joist & deck lists that will be used to produce final shop orders
Actively assist in the layout of Vulcraft products to meet project requirements as efficiently as possible
Review and edit blueprints for alignment with industry standards and Vulcraft manufacturing process
Provide input and technical support to detailers, engineers & production teammates during project design and development.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times .
Compensation Data
Starting hourly compensation for this position ranges from $21.96 - 26.00 per hour and is also eligible for annual ROA bonus and annual Profit Sharing bonus.
Minimum Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications :
Prior experience interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or equivalent experience in a related field
Previous Vulcraft detailing experience
Tekla, AutoCAD or other 3D Modeling experience
Bluebeam software experience
Prior experience working with computers and common office software applications (MS Office)
Salary : $22 - $26
