Basic Job Functions :
Nucor Steel Brandenburg is seeking candidates for the Warehouse Counter position. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a high level of honesty, integrity and ownership in everything they do.
Additionally a Warehouse Counter teammate will be responsible for assisting the Nucor team by operating forklifts and overhead cranes to retrieve or put away inventory.
Warehouse personnel must also frequently repackage items in an appropriate manner for storage. The performance of regular counts of inventory and the use of software to document inventory transactions will be a frequent activity.
This position requires working rotating shifts as well as scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor;
therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Experience in a distribution warehouse or manufacturing warehouse.
- Experience with an inventory management software program.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Remote operated overhead crane experience
- Forklift certification
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
