Basic Job Functions:
The Inside Sales Representative will work cooperatively with our team to manage customer accounts, create new customer accounts, and develop existing customer opportunities. This position will require coordinating with outside sales, production, shipping, mill leadership and other cross functional teammates to sell our products and services to customers. This position will also need to provide appropriate product pricing and availability to customers on inquiries received, as well as entering orders timely and accurately. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Understanding of and commitment to our Goal “To Take Care of Our Customer”.
- Replying to customer inquiries regarding availability of inventory, rolling schedule, open order status, and pricing on both standard and special products, resolving customer service issues, taking customer orders, and load building for shipments.
- Effectively solicit opportunities with new and grow existing customer base.
- Working in concert with the Outside Sales Team in territory planning and customer development.
- Reporting/data manipulation (word documents, spreadsheets, power point presentations).
- Working with other departments, general office duties, and other duties assigned by the Supervisor/ Manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
4 year college degree in business or related field
Sales experience preferred
