Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Raw Material Coordinator includes, but is not limited to:
- Safe and effective forklift and telehandler operations for the needs of the melt shop/raw material team.
- Be responsible for the unloading, storage, and organization of raw materials for the melt shop.
- Be responsible for tracking and managing the raw material orders and coordinating with different types of contractors/suppliers.
- Receive materials and manage inventory of raw materials including electrodes.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled candidates must be able to work in some extreme temperature environments.
- Some travel may be required for training purposes through commissioning.
This greenfield project is a new state-of-the-art sheet steel mill that will produce up to 3 million tons per year once fully operational. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located in Mason County, along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- 3 year Forklift/Telehandler Experience or certification
- High attention to detail
- 1 year industrial experience

- Actively engaged in safety performance and improvements
