Basic Job Functions
We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Metallurgical Technician. The main functions include, but are not limited to the following: 1) Assist in disposition of non-conforming held material. 2) Assist in coil reallocation to prime orders and inventory management in business system. 3) Work with the Operations and the Technical team to improve first time quality, reduce disposition, and prevent customer claims. 4) Work with the Sales and Shipping team to improve on-time delivery. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor degree in Business or technical field and/or demonstrated accounting/mathematical skills in work history.
- Proven proficiency on the computer, including use of applications and basic programming.
- Familiarity and experience manipulating data using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
- Willingness to work on weekends.
- Understanding of the steelmaking process and related defects.
