Basic Job Functions
The Production Scheduler develops and maintains an efficient production schedule, balancing the requirements of operations, customers and shipping, while optimizing inventory control. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: creating and adjusting schedules with goal of meeting 100% on-time delivery; optimizing prime production; minimizing sales loss; tracking conformance to plan; communicating production, booking and shipment information; integrating outside processing with scheduling; and providing scheduling support to operators 24/7 as needed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
- Computer literate with proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent
- Three years of steel production experience or steel mill customer service experience preferred.
