Basic Job Functions :
The Torch Operator is responsible for properly identifying bars with the proper tags and writing on the bars. Torch Operator also has the responsibility of communicating with the Roll mill, LMF, and Caster.
This position will work in an extremely hot environment. The Torch Operator will be expected to work nights, weekends, holidays, and cover shift when needed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements :
6 months prior Melt Shop operational experience
