Compensation : $99,000 - $121,000 (based on experience)
Basic Job Functions :
- Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for potential projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and develop accurate estimates.
- Evaluate and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to determine best fit for project needs.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals, budgets, and cost estimates for data center projects.
- Maintain an updated database of unit costs and construction cost data.
- Review and interpret construction documents, specifications, and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project scope and budget.
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the pre-construction phase to ensure alignment with initial estimates.
- Provide value engineering recommendations to clients to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of estimating tools and software.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management and clients, detailing project estimates and cost breakdowns.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and market conditions to provide accurate and competitive estimates.
- Other duties as assigned.
