Nucor Steel, Louisiana, LLC seeks an experienced HR Coordinator to join their team. This role will focus on coordinating community outreach, branding, and marketing initiatives, while working closely with the HR team to ensure smooth operations.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities will include:
- Payroll administration: ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll tasks in collaboration with the payroll/accounting department.
- Recruitment and onboarding: assisting in recruitment efforts by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and coordinating interviews and onboarding processes.
- Employee records and documentation: maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, attendance, and performance evaluations.
- Benefits administration: assisting employees with inquiries related to benefits programs, coordinating open enrollment processes, and managing the benefit administration portal.
- Training and development: assisting with and coordinating training sessions and workshops for teammate development.
- Teammate compliance: staying informed about labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices, and assisting in ensuring the organization's compliance with relevant laws and policies.
- Performance management: supporting and assisting the performance management processes.
- HR reporting: generating HR reports when requested.
The successful candidate will have a degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. They must be able to work onsite in Convent, LA, and be available during office hours, peak operational hours, and weekend hours based on operational needs.
