The Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (MHID) is dedicated to helping the residents of Nueces County who are living with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. We serve over 10,000 people each year with psychiatric and behavioral health care outpatient services, counseling, training, employment assistance, housing support, homeless outreach, children's mental health care and more.

Salary: "Please note that the job posting rate for this position is $65,229.36 to $72,320.95 for Program Supervisor IV or $82,484.02 to $91,451.50 for Program Supervisor VI, the salary offered will follow the starting salary guidelines which are typically made at or near the minimum of the salary range. However, a salary may be negotiated above the minimum range depending on applicable years of experience and qualifications."

Full-Time, 40 Hour Work Week, Paid Bi-weekly

General Description

Under supervision of IDD Service Director, performs highly advanced administrative and supervisory program work. Work involves assisting in establishing program goals and objectives; assisting in developing program guidelines, procedures, and policies; assisting in developing schedules, priorities, budgets, and standards for achieving program goals; and assisting in evaluating program activities. Supervises the work of others. Works under limited direction with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. If licensed, will provide clinical consultation on transition support team cases, IDD crisis cases, and to other IDD programs as needed with the scope of license and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum: (Program Supervisor IV B20/10-B20/13) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to the assignment. Experience in the provision of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and complex medical/behavioral issues. Experience in the administration of a program relevant to the assignment. Experience successfully managing personnel and teams. Must have reliable transportation. May use personal vehicle to conduct business. Must have a valid driver's license at all times, liability insurance and a good driving record.

Preferred: (Program Supervisor VI B25/07-B25/10) Graduation from an accredited college/university with a Master's Degree or a degree applicable to licensure in a health related or human services field. Must be fully licensed in the State of Texas, or able to be fully licensed within 6 months of hire, in a health-related field including, but not limited to, Registered Nurse (RN), Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Dietitian (RD), Licensed Behavioral Analyst (LBA). Substantial experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Developmental Disabilities, and/or other related-conditions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to the program area; of public administration and management techniques; of statistical analysis processes; of budget processes; of research techniques; of training and marketing techniques; and of program management processes and techniques. Skill in identifying measures or indicators of program and staff performance and in the use of a computer and applicable software. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts; to establish goals and objectives; to devise solutions to administrative problems; to develop, evaluate, and interpret administrative policies and procedures; and to supervise the work of others. In the course of being employed, understands and implements trauma informed care practices.
