The Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (MHID) is dedicated to helping the residents of Nueces County who are living with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. We serve over 10,000 people each year with psychiatric and behavioral health care outpatient services, counseling, training, employment assistance, housing support, homeless outreach, children's mental health care and more.

Salary: "Please note that the job posting rate for this position is $51,532.04 to $61,203.90, the salary offered will follow the starting salary guidelines which are typically made at or near the minimum of the salary range. However, a salary may be negotiated above the minimum range depending on applicable years of experience and qualifications."

General Description
Performs moderately complex (journey-level) computer systems analysis work. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. With direction from the IT Director, the employee will solve problems that are not standard and also assist staff in performing work of greater complexity. Responsible for maintaining the electronic health record, creating custom documents and reporting solutions to solve clinical and administrative issues of the Center. Works under the general direction of the IT Director with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience and/or education in a field relevant to the work being performed. Will be familiar with clinical data systems and have excellent organizational skills. Must have reliable transportation. May use personal vehicle to conduct business. Must have a valid driver's license at all times, liability insurance and a good driving record. Experience with Microsoft Office Applications; Experience with Electronic Health Records; Familiar with IT help desk functionality; Familiar with SharePoint online and MS Outlook.
Preferred:
Experience managing IT or other type of help desk
Bachelor's degree in Social Services or Information Technology or Health Information Management or related field
Supervisory Experience in Social Services or Information Technology
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- In the course of being employed, understands and implements trauma-informed care practices.
- Plans, designs, develops, implements, supports and maintains information technology contained in the electronic health record email system. Ensures appropriate training prior to implementation of system modifications and offers guidance during and after the implementation process as requested or as directed.
- Coordinates and/or participates in the development and execution of enterprise level strategies and technical direction, including establishing processes and procedures for executing and maintaining electronic health record and email systems.
- Develops functional design specifications to meet requirements and solve complex operational issues.
- Coordinates and/or tests and diagnoses systems to ensure critical requirements are met. Plans and schedules system implementations.
- Accepts other duties as assigned and works as a team player for the success of the Center.
