Responsibilities:
Employee Relations and Development
- Advise leaders and employees on complex employee relations issues, offering practical solutions and fostering trust across the organization.
- Facilitate conflict resolution to maintain a collaborative, high-performing workplace environment.
- Develop innovative career development programs that incorporate mentorship, skills-building workshops, and leadership pipelines.
- Regularly assess and enhance employee engagement through surveys, focus groups, and actionable feedback mechanisms.
- Serve as a resource for navigating workplace challenges, including work-life balance initiatives.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Partner with operations leaders to develop dynamic staffing plans that align with business growth and market trends.
- Spearhead creative recruitment campaigns that position the company as an employer of choice within the industry.
- Cultivate relationships with external partners, including universities and community organizations, to build diverse talent pipelines.
- Implement workforce planning strategies that integrate predictive analytics to anticipate future talent needs.
Performance and Change Management
- Collaborate with leaders to establish a culture of continuous feedback and professional growth.
- Design and implement performance management frameworks that emphasize goal alignment and innovation.

Compliance, Audits, and Data Analytics
- Conduct comprehensive HR audits to ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations and employment laws.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cannabis compliance standards, providing proactive guidance to mitigate risks.
- Develop real-time dashboards to monitor HR metrics, empowering leadership with actionable insights.
- Use predictive analytics to forecast workforce trends and inform strategic decisions.
- Partner with compliance teams to drive a culture of accountability and transparency throughout the organization.
Strategic Partnership and Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with executives to craft forward-thinking HR strategies that drive business innovation and operational excellence.
- Champion DEI initiatives by integrating inclusive practices into hiring, retention, and leadership development.
- Enhance HR processes with automation tools to reduce manual work and improve the employee experience.
- Lead cross-functional projects that align HR initiatives with organizational goals, ensuring measurable impact.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, leveraging HR expertise to influence company strategy and decision-making.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred); HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) are a plus. Candidates with 7 years of progressive HR experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3 years of HR experience, including 2 years in a business partner or strategic HR role.
- Expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and organizational change initiatives.
- Collaborative leadership style with strong interpersonal and consultative skills to build partnerships and influence stakeholders.
- Skilled in handling confidential information with discretion, especially in regulated environments.
- Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) to effectively interact with employees, peers, and leadership.
- Thorough understanding of organizational structures, job hierarchies, and HR practices, including compensation and administration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, with a sense of urgency and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as required and needed.
- Must be able to successfully pass State of Illinois required background check.
