JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Help Desk Technician provides internal technical support assisting end users with their day-to-day technical duties and issues. Candidates should have a mixture of technical and customer service skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.

• Acts as initial contact for all internal technical support required for computer workstation hardware and software, telephone, network, operating system, printing, and internet access problems.
• Handle Tier 1 help desk escalations through ticketing system or phone.
• Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Create user accounts and configure hardware as part of new hire process.
• Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms.
• Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Perform installs, upgrades, moves, and changes for computer workstation hardware and software, printers, and other peripheral devices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic technical knowledge of PCs, laptops, printers, and peripheral hardware devices.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows 11, Office 365, virus protection, and diagnostic software.
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written to a wide range of end-users.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve onsite and remote PC related computing problems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years of experience in a PC/local area network support environment.
