**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th Grade Spanish Teacher to join our dynamic team at a Dual Language Charter School. As the Spanish side teacher in a dual language setting, you will play a key role in supporting students' language development and helping them achieve their full potential.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Implement effective curriculum for 5th grade students in alignment with state standards and school objectives, in Spanish.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports both English and Spanish language learners.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote literacy, critical thinking, and writing skills.
- Collaborate with the dual language team, including the Spanish language teacher, to ensure cohesive and integrated language instruction.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing regular feedback and support to students and families.
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful classroom culture where students are encouraged to take risks and develop both academically and socially.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and development.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, professional development, and collaborative team meetings.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Valid teaching credential for elementary education.
- Experience working in a dual language or bilingual classroom is highly preferred.
