Description
Esperanza became a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) National Intermediary in October of 2010. Since then, we have worked with National and Local nonprofit agencies in their homeownership counseling program providing grants, assistance and technical support.
Job Summary
This role is an integral part of our technology operations of the housing program. This person will be working closely with the Housing Vice President on program administrative and data work using a variety of client management systems and several software applications including but not limited to: CounselorMax, RxOffice, Microsoft office, HUD HCS, Teams, Excel, and others with minimal instruction or supervision. It involves regular communication with our local counselors and National Sub grantees/ branches to collect, analyze and report data from different grantors. Here’s an overview of the typical duties and skills required for this role:
- High Excel knowledge, and the ability to sort data and develop reports
- Must be a self-starter who is able to learn several new data programs.
- Collect and maintain several data reports weekly and quarterly on clients, services and outcomes based on findings and monitor key performance indicators to assess the success of the program.
- Analyzing reports, trending data, and communicating any outliers to counselors and agencies.
- Provide several virtual training courses to local and national counselors on data programs, data corrections and grantors compliance.
- Work with counselors using teams to understand their data needs and assist in developing tools for collecting, organizing and analyzing information.
- Ensure counselors data accuracy, consistency and integrity across databases and systems before submitting to grantors.
- Ensure timely completion of data reports to grantors, compliance with program protocols and other project needs.
- Troubleshoot problems that occur within the submission of data to grantors.
- Prepare and update manuals and protocols under the direction of the Housing VP.
- Generating internal reports to track completion of project deliverables and monitor progress towards grantors outcomes
- Monitoring client files virtual for the local and national counselors via Microsoft Teams
- Attend webinars and training courses as needed.
- Able and willing to travel to assist Housing VP if necessary.
- Produce tailored department letters, labels, and power points.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
This is position is an in-person at the office job.
- Advanced Excel knowledge is a Must.
- Degree in data science, information technology or computer science.
- Ability to accomplish benchmarks and timely data solutions.
- Computer Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
