Essential duties:
The Relational Parenting Facilitator will be responsible for working with their assigned church audience to provide a high-quality learning environment for parents participating in the program.
They will support parents and caregivers by developing and providing resources to help them learn adapt and embrace time-honored practices to share their Christian faith and values with their children.
They will support congregations and other Christian organizations by developing and providing resources, and educational opportunities that will create and/or strengthen ministries to help interested parents and caregivers share their Christian faith and values with their children.
The program Relational Parenting Facilitator will work under the direction of the program Training and Curriculum Developer and Esperanza staff. The Relational Parenting Facilitator will be trained by Esperanza staff on the Relational Parenting curriculum. The Relational Parenting Facilitator will be responsible to work with their assigned church audience to provide a high-quality learning environment for parents participating in the program. They will be responsible for performing facilitation and report to the Project Director(s) and the Director of Faith and Capacity Initiative.
They will facilitate twelve (12), 90-minute sessions in two segments. The twelve (12) sessions will be conducted in two (2) parts, the first six (6) sessions during the Spring 2024, and the second segment of six (6) sessions is in the Fall 2024. The Relational Parenting Facilitator will participate in post facilitation meetings with Esperanza staff, including the program evaluator. They will be responsible for performing facilitation and report to the Project Director(s) and the Director of Faith and Capacity Initiatives.
Requirements:- We require individuals who reflect Esperanza’s values.
- The Relational Parenting Facilitator position is a contracted, off-site position.
- The person must be bi-lingual (Spanish and English), has experience in engaging the Hispanic community of faith, including Pastors and Youth Ministers.
- Good communication and relational skills.
- Professional teaching is preferred but not required.
- Microsoft Office skills experience is needed.
- High school diploma.
- Valid Driver's License.
- The job requires some evenings and some weekends.
