JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Safety Guard (Admissions) is responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests at The Elmont. This position involves monitoring guest activities, enforcing safety protocols, and responding quickly to emergencies, including accidents and incidents, while providing excellent customer service.
REPORTS TO: General Manager
LOCATION: The Elmont
Pay / GRADE LEVEL: Hourly / Non-Exempt
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guest Screening: Check bags upon guests entering the resort to ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Pool Access Monitoring: Monitor pool access gates, ensuring proper closure and preventing unauthorized entry.
- Rule Enforcement: Observe and monitor guest behavior at the pool to ensure adherence to resort pool rules.
- Incident Response: Respond quickly to accidents or incidents at the pool, including potential drowning situations, and provide immediate assistance.
- First Aid & Medical Assistance: Administer first aid as needed and contact additional medical personnel when necessary.
- Emergency Evacuations: Assist with evacuations and other emergency procedures as required.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, professional, and helpful customer service to all resort guests.
- Safety Reporting: Report any safety violations, concerns, or potential hazards to pool management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to monitor and enforce safety rules effectively.
- Must be alert and attentive, with good observation skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is typically performed in the resort. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work involves a majority of standing, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing and some lifting up to 50 lbs.
