Based in Alsip, IL, Nufarm is looking for a Packaging Initiatives Lead to focus on driving cost-saving projects in the packaging area while developing and executing strategies that align with sustainability goals and business objectives. This role involves managing initiatives, negotiating with suppliers, and collaborating with different teams within the company. Success in this position requires a strategic thinker with strong project management and leadership skills, a passion for innovation in packaging, and the ability to influence others without direct authority.
What will you be doing?
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business 5 years of relevant experience in Vendor Management/Supplier Relations with a minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging development, with a focus on sustainability. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent relationship management and negotiation skills along with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 per year in our lowest geographic market to $93,700 per year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for cost improvement and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and relevant regulations.
