Based in Alsip, IL, Nufarm is looking for a Tolling Material Planner who is responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of materials for tolling operations, ensuring seamless integration of third-party manufacturing processes with internal supply chain activities. This includes developing and maintaining accurate material forecasts, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet production and customer demand.
What will you be doing?
- Plan and manage material flow to ensure 100% material availability for production schedules, avoiding stockouts that could disrupt tolling operations.
- Coordinate with procurement and external tolling partners to ensure materials are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Monitor lead times, adjusting forecasts and orders proactively to prevent material shortages.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of all materials in the tolling supply chain, aligning physical inventory with system records.
- Conduct regular reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Work closely with internal teams and tolling partners to maintain real-time visibility of inventory levels, ensuring data integrity.
- Align material planning with the toller schedule, ensuring materials are available as required to meet production timelines.
- Monitor production schedules and material need to ensure that changes to the schedule are reflected in material orders and inventory levels.
- Proactively adjust material procurement plans when there are deviations from the schedule, minimizing disruptions to production.
- Maintain clear, consistent, and transparent communication with internal teams (planning, procurement, logistics) and external tolling partners.
- Provide regular updates on material availability, inventory levels, and potential supply chain disruptions to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all parties are aligned on material requirements and production timelines, driving a high communication effectiveness score.
What do you bring?
You hold a bachelor’s degree in bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field along with 0-2 years of experience in supply chain, production planning, material planning or related field. The right candidate will have negotiation skills to manage tolling relationships and resolve supply issues. You have excellent analytical, interpersonal, written, verbal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills with a very good knowledge of Material Planning tools and processes.
What do we offer?
Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $55,000 per year in our lowest geographic market to $77,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
