What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nightclub Security Officer Part Time Swing Weekends position at Nugget Casino Resort?
FUNCTION:
Nightclub Security is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and team members, while maintaining a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify the age and identification of guests to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
- Scan and inspect guests and personal items when entering the venue.
- Provide exceptional guest service by assisting guests with inquiries, directions, and general information.
- Assist with basic first aid or medical situations, coordinating with medical personnel if necessary.
- Manage lines and queues efficiently, ensuring smooth entry and exit of guests.
- Work closely with the management team, fellow security team members and other venue personnel to maintain effective communication and coordination.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to any incidents or emergencies that may arise. Notify Casino Security as required.
- Enforce venue policies and procedures to maintain order and a safe environment.
- Ensure protection and Safety of guests, team members, and the property. Adhere to established safety standards.
- Monitor crowd behavior and identify potentially disruptive or aggressive individuals.
- Use appropriate conflict resolution techniques to defuse tense situations and maintain a positive environment.
- Remain alert, and report any suspicious individuals or activities.
- Report any safety hazards to Management and appropriate departments
- Escort intoxicated, disorderly, and/or insubordinate guests from the venue and inform management immediately.
- Remain professional and composed in emergency, and stressful situations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required, providing accurate information and assistance.
- Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
- Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
- Regular predictable attendance is required.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Nightclub Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years of age.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous security, casino security, nightclub security, or security in high-volume venue, experience is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Basic first aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays.
Basic Microsoft Office skills, using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Alcohol Awareness Certification required.
Employee Gaming Registration required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs. may be required depending on the position.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
