Job Title : Systems Analyst III - GIS Location : Chicago, IL, Onsite Rate : Best competitive rate Lead local candidates only PROJECT DETAILS JOB DESCRIPTION Under general supervision performs a wide variety of moderately complex to difficult tasks in connection with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) implementation and maintenance. Assists in the design, development and maintenance of the GIS database and its various applications including associated services and maps. Utilizes Esri editing tools to maintain databases for general data integrity, topical consistency, geocoding, legal descriptions and local and state statutes. Evaluates and utilizes GIS tools in an enterprise environment, including web and map services to facilitate these tasks. Formalizes procedures and produces accurate and timely reports. Assists with the management of consultant relationships and monitors project status. Consults with senior level staff and department managers as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED DEGREE Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography; Geographic information Systems; Geometrics; Surveying; Geology; Regional or Urban Planning; Landscape Architecture; Environmental Studies; Ecology; Earth Sciences; or Natural Sciences.
