Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Contracts Specialist to join the team at TJX Corporate . This fully remote position will focus on drafting, proofreading, and negotiating Statements of Work (SOWs) for a variety of IT contracts, including Managed Services, Fixed Fee, and Staff Augmentation engagements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT contracts, particularly in the consulting and professional services sectors, and will be adept at working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities :
Contract Management & Excellence :
- Facilitate internal and external stakeholder meetings to clarify business requirements, niche terms, and specifications throughout the SOW / Amendment development process.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage IT Professional / Consulting Services contracts.
- Provide training to relevant service delivery teams on contract processes, ensuring all requirements and approvals are met.
- Review redlines and contract amendments, identifying business issues and escalating as necessary.
- Assist with updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process improvement training materials, and contract forms.
- Validate resource plans and ensure alignment with existing rate cards.
- Support the contracting process for high-value engagements exceeding $100M.
Value Delivery & Issue Resolution :
Ensure service levels, metrics, and reporting requirements are included in SOWs.Assist with issue resolution and the Vendor Management Exception process.Integrate lessons learned into contract form updates and operating procedures.Contract Improvement & Administration :
Perform administrative functions including meeting coordination, document tracking, and redlining contracts.Prioritize incoming SOW review requests and manage document versions.Provide regular status updates and manage concerns through daily tracking sheets and team meetings.Work closely with Legal and Procurement teams to ensure timely prioritization of commercial agreements.Offer subject matter expertise on industry best practices for labor contracting.Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement :
Collaborate with multiple internal parties to ensure the appropriate level of detail, risk, and governance is included in each contract.Exercise sound judgment when negotiating with internal stakeholders or vendors to achieve desired outcomes.Escalate issues when alignment cannot be reached on critical contract matters.Key Qualifications : Skills & Abilities :
Strong self-motivation and the ability to build trust and work effectively within a team.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and draft clear, concise contracts.Solid understanding of contract principles and legal terms, with an ability to independently resolve contract-related challenges.Ability to develop and incorporate service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs into contract and governance processes.Strong technical proficiency, including advanced skills in Microsoft Word (redlining, tracking changes) and Excel (preferred).Experience with ServiceNow and Jira is a plus.Familiarity with Agile and Kanban methodologies is preferred.Experience :
A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT contracts, particularly within IT professional services and consulting.At least 4-6 years of hands-on experience drafting, negotiating, and executing IT Professional Services contracts (T&M, Fixed Fee, and Managed Services).Extensive experience negotiating complex agreements, with a focus on risk mitigation (SLAs, KPIs) and contract governance.Experience working with legal teams and third-party vendors in both advisory and negotiation roles.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; a Law Degree or Paralegal certification is a plus.Additional Information :
Remote work with occasional office visits (1-2 times per month) at either 550 Cochituate Rd, Framingham, MA or 300 Value Way, Marlborough, MA .This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity, meaning the role could transition to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.Local talent only.Application Process :
