Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients, assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Prepare meals and assist with cooking according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Observe and report any changes in client condition or behavior to healthcare professionals.
- Support clients in engaging in social and recreational activities to promote well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all living areas are tidy and organized.
- Collaborate with families and other caregivers to develop personalized care plans that meet individual needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in direct support roles within long-term care or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or senior care is highly valued.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition.
- A background in home community care will be an advantage for this position.
