Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during transitions.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Implement first aid measures as needed and maintain a safe environment.
- Collaborate with family members, healthcare providers, and social workers to create personalized care plans.
Requirements
- Proven experience in caregiving or direct support roles, preferably in senior care or assisted living settings.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and first aid practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with personal care, including lifting and assisting clients.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining client records and care plans.
- A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in your care.
- Certification in caregiving or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
