Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document vital signs to ensure the health and well-being of residents.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and maintain accurate records.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their mental well-being.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy, dignity, and individuality.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans for residents.
- Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the personal care home or nursing facility.
- Participate in training sessions on first aid and emergency response protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a personal care home or nursing home setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of resident rights and memory care practices is essential.
- Familiarity with medication administration systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform first aid procedures when necessary.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
