Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Document care provided in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of best practices in senior care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in personal care, caregiving, or related fields such as long-term care or home care is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response systems is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
